Abstract:
Classification schedules, alphabetical vocabularies, and concept‐association lists are analyzed from the viewpoint of their utility in coordinate indexing as aids which prescribe invariable relationships and suggest variable relationships between indexing terms. Lookup and feedback tools are considered in relation to the consistency of indexers.
