Abstract:
Several studies extant utilizing the Historical, Normative Survey or Experimental Method for the comparative analysis of information storage and retrieval systems are critically reviewed. Indicated are evolutionary trends in the refinement of comparative analysis methodology and the need to utilize more than one research method for the analysis of a system's internal and external factors.
