Towards a Hard‐Headed but Soft‐Hearted Approach to Economic and Social Policy: Comments on the Books by Fred Argy and Mark Latham
Peter Dawkins
Australian Economic Review, 1998, vol. 31, issue 4, 422-429
Abstract:
The author argues for a hard‐headed and soft‐hearted approach to economic and social policy and finds much to commend in Fred Arg’s and Mark Latham’s books, while identifying a number of differences between them and making some criticisms. A particular concern is that neither is convincing on the central issue of unemployment.
