Extramural funding opportunities in bioinformatics from the National Library of Medicine

Abstract: National Library of Medicine (NLM) extramural programs in bioinformatics are described in the context of National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding mechanisms and illustrated through a sampling of recently funded grants. The NIH application, evaluation, and funding process is described as used by the NLM.
