Aggregate Export Concentration in Japan

Noriyuki Doi

Journal of Industrial Economics, 1991, vol. 39, issue 4, 433-38

Abstract: This paper reports some new evidence on aggregate concentration of exporters in the Japanese manufacturing industry. Exports in Japanese manufacturing are highly concentrated in a few big firms, and aggregate export concentration is much higher than aggregate firm concentration.
