Target Distributions for Quality Control
S. J. Morrison
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1962, vol. 11, issue 1, 55-63
Abstract:
In this paper the author considers the target distribution concept which is implicit in the high‐precision double‐sided‐limit system of B. S. 2564. The concept is developed and extended to deal with low‐precision data and single‐sided specification limits. Formulae and tables of factors for double‐sided limits are included and a graphical method of dealing with single‐sided specification limits is described.
