On Sequential Sampling from Truncated Normal Populations
P. S. Swamy
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1963, vol. 12, issue 2, 102-106
Abstract:
In this article Dr P. S. Swamy points out that, in general, the effect of screening the production, before submitting the lots for acceptance sampling inspection, on the O. C. and the A. S. N. functions of the sequential sampling plan is to increase both the probability of acceptance of a lot and the expected value of the sample number. It is also observed that screening may not be profitable if the unit cost of inspection is high.
