Statistical Detection of Bias in Analytical Estimates

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1968, vol. 17, issue 1, 74-78
Abstract:
The design and analysis of two experiments from a series of chemical intercalibration tests are described. In the tests four analysts, using their own methods, made oxygen determinations of subsamples of sea‐water and compared their results. The tests were used to locate systematic differences between estimates made by the analysts and to trace their causes.
