A Study of the Lives of Pots Used in Making Glass

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1952, vol. 1, issue 3, 163-168
Abstract:
It was required to learn something of the factors that influence the life of clay pots used in making glass, and only the statistically ‘unbalanced’ records of two years' actual working were available as data. Miss Keen and Mr. Page describe how they solved the problem by repeatedly applying a simple method of analysis.
