Abstract:
Practical aspects of time‐series analysis have been rather neglected in the statistical literature. This paper covers many of the practical problems which can arise and draws attention to some of the outstanding difficulties, particularly those in cross‐spectral analysis. The discussion is centred around an example involving geophysical time‐series.
