A Graphical Estimate of the Population Mean from Censored Normal Data

Abstract: A chart is presented to estimate the mean of a singly truncated normal distribution where the variance is known or unknown. The same chart is used to achieve an estimate of the mean from Type I or Type II censored normal data. An illustration of the estimation procedure is also included.
