Abstract:
Ehrenberg's law‐like relationship between height and weight: logw¯=bh¯+c was tried for Indian children. It was found that the relationship logw¯=0.8h¯+0.35 was a good fit for Indian boys and girls, in general. But the value of the intercept constant c was found to be slightly different for urban and rural children, for children from different religions and for children from different socio‐economic classes, showing the influence of nutrition and social class on the relationship.
