Experiences of Correlation Analysis
Donald G. Beech
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1953, vol. 2, issue 2, 73-85
Abstract:
Dr Beech uses some experiences in the field of ceramics as pegs on which to hang discussions of practical points that arise in correlation analysis. He deals with the dangers of extrapolation, the use of correlation analysis to test the validity of a theoretical relationship, and the estimation of a constant of proportionality from data.
