Tests for Many Outliers in an Exponential Sample

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1982, vol. 31, issue 3, 263-271
Abstract:
A sequential procedure for testing up to k upper outliers in an exponential sample is proposed. The important special cases k = 2, 3, 4 are considered in detail and appropriate critical values tabulated. The flexibility of this procedure compared to existing tests is demonstrated using sensitivity contours and examples. A companion procedure for testing for lower outliers is also considered.
