Discordancy Testing in Gamma Samples with Both Parameters Unknown

A. C. Kimber

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1983, vol. 32, issue 3, 304-310

Abstract: Procedures are proposed for testing for outliers in a gamma sample in which both the shape and the scale parameters are unknown. No new tables of critical values are required. The properties of the tests are investigated in detail for the upper‐outlier case. The lower‐outlier case is discussed briefly.
