Tolerance‐Distribution‐Free Analyses of Quantal Dose‐Response Data

C. A. Glasbey

Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1987, vol. 36, issue 3, 251-259

Abstract: Estimators are obtained for EDq, the dose at which q percent of subjects respond in quantal dose‐response situations, when information about the tolerance distribution is minimal. Among the options considered are simply that the distribution exists, or that it is unimodal, “bell‐shaped”, or symmetric. An example shows the extents to which £050 is estimated less precisely than in probit analysis.
