An Analysis of the Results of a Visual Test of Textile Yarn

Abstract:
By analysing the results of a specially planned set of observations, the authors are able to show that a partially subjective test of yarn quality can give reliable results. The errors are estimated. This article also presents an interesting example of the use of transformations of the observed variable.
