Quality Control on the Setting of Voltage Regulators
David J. Desmond
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1954, vol. 3, issue 2, 65-73
Abstract:
Mr Desmond describes the evolution of a quality control scheme which has some interesting and unusual features. It was designed to give the manufacturer greater confidence in the quality of his product, but the practical consequence was that a better product was produced with considerable savings in both manufacturing and inspection costs.
