A Cumulative Score Control Scheme

Abstract: A cumulative score scheme is proposed to detect a shift in the process mean. The scheme proposed can be easily implemented and combined with the x̄‐chart. its average run length tables are given. The implementation of the cumulative score scheme is illustrated with an example.
