The Study of Variability in Engineering Design
S. James Morrison
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1957, vol. 6, issue 2, 133-138
Abstract:
Mr Morrison shows how a fairly straightforward application of statistical theory can help the designer. A rough prediction of the variability of a product can be made, and the elements in the design that are likely to give the most trouble can often be identified.
