Factor Analysis
Geoffrey H. Jowett
Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series C, 1958, vol. 7, issue 2, 114-125
Abstract:
In this article Dr Jowett gives a simple description of the essentials of factor analysis, with particular reference to the centroid method. Despite the fact that some statisticians disapprove of the subject, we feel that there is ample justification for an expository article of this kind, so that users of statistics may be encouraged to discover whether this method of analysis is helpful in any of their problems.
