Abstract:
The author, born in Switzerland in 1919, having acquired his doctorate in Zurich and taught economics at the University of Zurich, the Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Berne (Switzerland). He is now professor emeritus, University of Berne, and adjunct professor, University of California. After his retirement he lectured at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in Perth (Australia) and at the University of Munich.
