Risk Management and Insurance Review, 1998, vol. 1, issue 2, 72-108
Abstract:
Abstract: The authors examine the increasing recognition by the courts that an insurance policy is a consumer product, not merely a contract. This evolution has been the result of an increasing focus on the reasonable expectations doctrine. A review of the legal environment involving reasonable expectations and insurance coverage is presented.
