Mobius bands and Mandelbrot sets as metaphors for systemic praxis
Janet J. McIntyre‐Mills
Systems Research and Behavioral Science, 2008, vol. 25, issue 2, 323-329
Abstract:
This essay explores a ‘Linkage proposition’, to use Len Troncale's expression, that the universe—both social and natural—is a feedback/feed forward loop. Mathematically, it can be described as recursive Mobius Band (see Kauffman, 2006). Energy transfer and communication link social and natural systems. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
