Abstract: Throughout one’s life time each individual is required to find solutions to different problems by carrying out new operations, by combining the data and knowledge available, or by joining together disparate pieces of information. The students’ creative potential must be formed through teaching techniques that stimulate their resourcefulness: the essay, the scientific paper, the research project and the portfolio, which can be used as useful complementary evaluation methods as well.
