Abstract:
Remote work has gained considerable attention in the ever-changing field of contemporary organizational management. This critical review aimed to systematically examine challenges and emerging trends in remote work in organizations. The review thoroughly examined scholarly articles that were carefully selected through a rigorous process. Key recurrent themes that emerge from the synthesis of this research, include resource planning, trust, cultural diversity, leadership, collaboration tools, communication techniques, and psychological safety. All of these factors are crucial for creating virtual teams that work well together. The findings obtained from a careful selection process and in-depth analysis of themes have important implications for both professionals and researchers. They contribute to the ongoing discussion on effective virtual teams and offer guidance for future research in the ever-changing field of remote work. As organizations increasingly adopt remote work, it is crucial to understand these challenges and emerging trends to enhance organizational performance and effectively navigate the complexities of the digital era.
