Abstract: The article reveals the characteristics and differences of the innovation process in the countries-leaders and countries-outsiders in innovations. Also the contents of the innovation process of the leaders in innovations are displayed here. In the end there are proposals for using the most perspective models of the innovation development for the Republic of Moldova.
