Abstract:
Microfinance is experiencing an unprecedented investment boom. The microfinance industry continues to grow at a rate of more than 30 percent a year, and the supply of funds for growth is only one-fifth of total demand. To meet this demand there has been an increase in international investors in microfinance institutions (MFIs).
