Abstract: The paper is referred to a comparison of specific evolution of cooperatives in EU and in Romania in the last decade. This phenomenon which had a huge social importance is in continuous rising over the world and some relative connections with the world global situation will be made in this review in the current world crisis. In the EU more than 9 million people work in agriculture. Compared with the figures above the Romanian economy is still at the beginning of investors accumulate into associative cooperatives in agriculture only 435 bodies entities are presented.
