Abstract: The paper aims at presenting the evolution of cohesion policy objectives over time, as well as the link with the EU's overall strategy. It will analyze the impact of the type of actions supported by the cohesion policy and their link with the provisions of the Lisbon Strategy, Göteborg Strategy and Europe 2020. The focus of this piece of work is mainly to analyze the evolution of macroeconomic indicators taking into account the structural funds.
