Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world economy at the end of 2019 had a strong impact on the significant economic issues at global and national level. This paper presents how this phenomenon has influenced price dynamics. This article proposes a comparative study between 2019 and 2020 regarding the change in the inflation rate in Romania, as well as the causes that led to it.
