Revista Economica, 2012, vol. Supplement, issue 1, 387-396
Abstract:
The article targets smallholders in agriculture and industry and presents software models for determining fair payments and costs of sustainable production in order to reduce poverty and optimize the production cycle. This is motivated by the fact that the April 2012 World Bank Report on Partnership Programs states that Romania has the highest incidence of rural poverty (over 70 percent), in spite of having the highest proportion of rural population (45 percent) in the EU.
