Abstract:
In a world facing increasing environmental, social and economic challenges, business companies have been charged with the task of aligning their processes and services with a sustainability agenda. However, the concept of sustainability is complex, interdisciplinary and contested. The study consisted of an exploratory analysis looking at the importance given to Education for Sustainability by Romanian companies from which to begin to sketch the landscape of sustainable innovation in Romania. The study raises implications at the University/Industry interface with regard to the preparation that is offered to future leaders and employees in order to pursue sustainable innovation.
