Abstract:
The complex relationships between business and society have constituted the subject of many researchers from different disciplines in the last century. The aims of our paper are to render in brief the theoretical framework related to the concept of social responsibility of business organizations, and to highlight the implementation of the concept in the case of the largest biopharmaceutical corporation in the world. The methodological approach was based on the literature review. Our paper contributes to a better understanding of the social responsibility of business organizations and provides a platform on which to build further studies on the same subject.
