ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNICATION AND ECOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN ROMANIA

Abstract: This article discusses the importance of education and communication actions on environmental protection and tries to define these concepts for deeper understanding in order to implement educational, informative and practical ecological actions in Romania. Also, there are presentedsome examples of pro-environmental, educational activities conducted in Romania that have had positive effects in terms of educating people, especially children and young people in secondary education on environmental protection, their awareness of the need of knowledge and importance of information on the implications of natural environmental degradation,on eco-systems, humans and whole society, with direct effects on the present and future generations. Article raises the issue of responsibility of state institutions in ecological education of population, but its role in ensuring the implementation and environmental compliance. It is important that every citizen led by the Romanian state to assume responsibility for environmental protecting actions and achieving sustainable development in Romania.
