Abstract:
World economy currently offers a diverse array of competitiveness due to different levels of economic and technological developments, or action of some social, demographic, and cultural factors.This paper aims to examine Romania`s relative competitiveness and compare the structure of specialization in trade vis-?-vis the EU. The empirical analysis of the present paper is based on revealed comparative advantage (RCA). The present study tries to underline the competitiveness of Romania within a European context by calculating alternative measures of RCA.
