POLISH E-COMMERCE MARKET - THE PRESENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES

Abstract:
At the moment, the Internet is the fastest growing distribution channel for polish e-commerce market. Compared with the year 2010, the value of e-commerce market increased by 16%. In the year 2011. On the polish e-commerce market currently operates approximately 10 thousand e-shops, in addition to several strong leaders (Merlin, Allegro or Empik) this market is very fragmented. The presented article characterizes the polish e-commerce market and its development perspectives. Based on the survey conducted, the polish on-line shops will be presented -branches of their business, net sales, number of employees or number of customers.
