Abstract:
The electricity networks used today in the electric power industry are still using outdated electromechanical equipments, are unsafe, maintenance is expensive and the time for it cannot be controlled easy. To solve these problems the electricity networks must become more `intelligent` by introducing electronic control devices and self-healing mechanisms for better safety and efficiency. The new equipments and devices must also be interoperable and right integrated into business; this may be achieved by using software oriented architecture (SOA). In this paper we describe a service oriented architecture designed for an enterprise from the electric power industry and some conclusions about it.
