Abstract: An analysis of results of the 2016 NMG Consulting survey on household finances, which was carried out in early September after the vote to leave the EU and our Monetary Policy Committee’s decision to cut Bank Rate. Evidence from the survey provides an insight into how people have been affected by these events.
