Abstract: The future development of the food industry in South Bohemian region has to be focused on strengthening of its competitiveness on the challenging markets by improving the quality and added value of its production. In addition, it is necessarily to reflect and adjust to the dynamic changes, trends and challenges in this branch and effectively utilize funds and subventions. In the context of the economic crisis, the economies that will lead to increased productivity and labor force saving will be introduced.
