Abstract:
The great share of land rent in total utilized area as well as a significant variability of land rent and market price of land is connected to a need of research activities that could assess factors and the importance of their impact to land rent and price in each state. The structure of farm production is supposed to be of a major influence so that the paper classifies the EU states according to production specialization. Within such sample, factors influencing the land rent - i.e. the intensity of production, farm income, share of rented land and operation subsidies - are discussed. The intensity of production is revealed to be the most important factor.
