Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to perform the analyses of the social aspects of the post secondary sphere of education. The statistical investigation was carried out within a selected sample of students at the South Bohemian University. The focus was primarily on the analyses of: reasons the students have to study at the University; students' attitudes towards the studies; students' idea of being able to work in the profession they study; circumstances/conditions of the studies (considering the lime investment, financial burden, daily commuting, and advantages or disadvantages of living away from the family); student employment during the studies, the income from such employment, and its financial impact; education expenses (here, taken into consideration were only direct, financial, parental contributions and the eventual own income from employment.
