Abstract: More and more kinds of lettuces have been appeared in the shops in recent days. Whilst these types are widely known and popular in foreign countries, the Czechs still regard them as a rather unusual vegetable. By the same token, their pricing corresponds to the fact that most of these types have been imported into the Czech Republic, although some species can be easily planted in our country. That's a great chance for smaller domestic growers who commonly face the tremendous pressure caused by large wholesalers.
