Abstract: The paper is oriented on the level of exploitation of stock management methods in foodstuff-, consumer goods- and engineering industry. Main attention is devoted to the MRP-1 and Kanban methods from the view of managing the stock changes in production. The same attention is devoted to the methods EOQ and ABC analysis from the view of optimization of batch sizes and subsequent optimization of warehouses stocks with the target of logistics cost optimization. These costs influence the product prices for the final consumer.
