Abstract:
The contribution deals with results of marketing research "Omnibus ZS 2006", which relates to consumer preferences of food products on the buyers' market in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. A lot of customers in both countries are influenced by news of danger world wide animal infection (for example avian influence, BSE etc.). It could be very important reason to change customer preference of buying food and agriculture products in future. Not only fear of danger world wide animal infection could change customer preference, but generally it could be quality of food and agriculture products too. As a consequence of this situation customers start to more observing domicile of origin and quality of food. The results of research in both countries still confirm not only range of opinions apprehensive of threat of low-quality and dangerous to life agricultural and food products, but they show us difference between the Czech Republic and Slovakia too.
