Abstract: This paper proposes a ratio-cum-product estimator of finite population mean in stratified random sampling using information on population means of two auxiliary variables. The bias and mean squared error expressions are derived under large sample approximations. Proposed estimator has been compared with usual unbiased estimator in stratified sampling, combined ratio estimator and combined product estimator theoretically as well as empirically.
