Abstract:
The research activities were performed into the flooding area of Danube Delta and Valley and aimed at highlighting the regime of soil active moisture during the growing season. For each type of forest site, the soil active moisture was revealed as being easily or very easily accessible, a predictable explanation for vegetation structure, mostly consisting of poplar and willow species. Besides, the results of research represent an important scientific basis for deciding upon the management measures in the future of those forests deeply influenced by the human activities.
