Abstract:
An Oxfam America commentary on the Doha Development Round.Gawain Kripke is Senior Policy Advisor on international trade issues with Oxfam America, based in Washington, DC. He directs the policy work of the organization's Make Trade Fair campaign, which aims to change unfair trade rules so that international trade can become a powerful force for reducing global poverty. Kripke has authored numerous opinion pieces and briefing papers on trade and development issues. He has testified before Congress and appears frequently on radio and television programs, including Marketplace, CNN, National Public Radio, and BBC World News. Prior to joining Oxfam, Kripke served as Director of Economic Programs for the environmental organization Friends of the Earth. He holds a B.A. in Government from Harvard College.
