Abstract: This paper analysis in which way the Sapir-Whorf-Hypothesis (dependency of thinking upon language) can deliver an explanation of the space-semantic construction of the touristic south. It serves as analysis tool in combination with empiric evidence regarding the tourism image profiles of Seville and Buenos Aires, which were selected as case studies of tourism cities in the South.
