Abstract: In this paper, Finnish tango dance tourism is analysed, taking into account the concept of embodied space (Low 2003) and Lefebvre’s (1991) understanding of space on the multi-layered interconnected levels of body, culture and space. The Finnish „culture of silence“ is considered in particular in this context. Methodologically, interviews with experts, participant observation and the evaluation of film material are used. As a result, a variety of interactions between body, culture and space emerge that reveal additional potential for Finnish tango dance tourism.
